SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

San Francisco yesterday AND today.

IN A TRIP OF HIPPIES A RISE OF MINI SKIRTS
dares you to put a new beat in your life with Santana the Carpenters, and Young Bloods who see themselves in a 5th Dtmension all Blood, Sweat and Tears of the musical world.

LOVELY GIRLS WITH LONG SHINY HAIR
alongside the boys, they march, right on, to change the world and establish colorful new meaning for old words: hip, cool, bread, mini, bad.

SOME PEOPLE DIET WHILE OTHERS STARVE
we walk on the moon while on earth help to the needy is curtailed for "lack of funds." And Vice-president Spiro Agnew's infamous term in office makes us realize, next time we vote we must by-pass the candidate with unusual vocabulary for the one with good morals and integrity.

MORE POWER TO THE PEOPLE. WHAT IF GOD IS BLACK?
memories of Camelot make us immensely proud, unconsolably sad. And a 20 year old speaks for all idealists, eradicates the "generation gap," when in confidence of being perfectly understood tells us: Sometimes, I wake up in the morning wishing it was all a bad dream and the Kennedy brothers were not really dead.

DISCONTENTED CHILDREN IN THE MIDST OF PLENTY ...
the public high school disembowels children entrusted to its system, as illiterate, uncaring young adults. And to the parents who want to find out WHY? comes the realization that the maladies that afflict their sons and daughters has no name no face, no address, no phone number. And prevails in the tired faces of the school counselor, the young teacher and the principle who to justify their position produces a document full of digits. Statistics don't answer any questions, only make fear grip at your heart and impairs communication, after all points of contact have been exhausted but no answer has been found. Yet, in spite of, not because of the system, the young often triumph. They march on to make their dreams come true.

SAY IT WITH FLOWERS
urges a popular slogan but in the latest build shopping center a metal tree spreads its arms to the sky. You moan, wishing for green blue grass, velvety moss, real life flowers. Progress is extinguishing us from the face of the earth. Leaving——as proof of having inhabited this planet——our souls, imbedded in the concrete, glass and steel buildings.

YOUTH FOR PEACE. ECOLOGY DAY
you read in your local news paper. And, war is not healthy for children and other living things. Invigorating solutions for long ignored problems come in headlines: Smith Town Citizens revive their river. Concerned voters aided by 200 High Schoolers clean Sunshine,USA. Then hope rushes through you once more. Elation, as you read on and find a Commencement Day Speech of a local High Schooler that answers the vice president's bad opinion of the young people of the United States with beautiful and heartfelt words: We are not "a corps of impudent snobs" we are your children, you are not "the establishment,” you are our parents. Open your hearts, we promise not to close ours. Peace.

NOTICE:San Francisco hasn't changed at all,do U think?
